Overview
Finland is now open on Workium with a flagship Seasonal Work programme designed for two distinct talent pools: premium hospitality staff for Rovaniemi (Lapland) hotels and skilled welders for Finnish shipyards. Unlike most relocation packages, this programme requires NO advance fee — your first installment of €1,600 is paid ONLY after you have received and verified your Finnish employment contract. The final €2,800 is settled only upon receiving your Temporary Residence Card (TRC). The employer takes on the heavy lifting: contract issuance, biometric appointment booking, and accommodation. Document issuance typically takes 1-5 days, and the entire process is approximately 1-2 months for hospitality roles, 3-4 months for shipyard welders.

Work Experience Certificate
Proof of relevant experience — MANDATORY for welders and construction workers.
Work Videos
Short videos demonstrating welding craft. Welders & construction only.
Safety Card (Työturvallisuuskortti)
Finnish occupational safety card. Completed AS PART OF the process for welders & construction — you do not need to obtain it beforehand.
Calisthenics Certificate
Required for welders & construction. Also completed as part of the process.
Employment Contract
Issued by your Finnish employer for verification before the first installment.

These documents are arranged and provided by the employer as part of your placement. You do not need to obtain them yourself.

Issued by the Finnish employer detailing role, salary, hours and benefits. Verified by the applicant BEFORE the first installment is paid.
Seasonal Residence Permit (VNJ)
Provided by the employer for hospitality seasonal roles in Rovaniemi.
Temporary Residence Permit (TRP)
Long-form residence permit issued for shipyard welder and construction roles.
Accommodation Letter
Confirms free or employer-provided accommodation depending on role.
