Partnerships & Growth

Sales Development Representative

Hybrid — Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya & IndiaFull-timePartnerships & Growth

About This Role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is the engine room of Workium's growth function. You will own the top of our sales funnel — researching the right partners and clients, building qualified outbound campaigns, and handing warm, well-prepped opportunities to the Business Development team to close. You'll also help us run a high-quality calendar of webinars and live sessions that turn prospects into pipeline. This is a hands-on, output-focused role for someone who enjoys the craft of outbound — sharp messaging, tidy CRM data, fast follow-up — and wants to grow into a full Business Development career inside a fast-moving global migration platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Sales Outreach:
  • Research and build qualified prospect lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google, Apollo, Lusha and relevant industry directories
  • Plan and execute multi-touch outbound campaigns across cold email, LinkedIn and other channels — every sequence written for the segment, not blasted
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against the agreed ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and disqualify quickly where there is no fit
  • Book discovery calls for the Business Development team and own the pre-call brief (company context, why now, why us)
  • Run timely, personalised follow-up communication with leads at every stage of the early funnel
  • CRM & Administrative Support:
  • Maintain and organise the CRM / lead tracker (Notion) — every account, contact, touchpoint and outcome logged within 24 hours
  • Keep stages, owners, next-action dates and source attribution accurate at all times
  • Produce a weekly performance summary on lead generation, outreach volumes, response rates, meetings booked and stage-to-stage conversion
  • Spot pipeline bottlenecks early and flag them to the Partnerships & Growth Manager
  • Digital Events & Webinar Support:
  • Help organise, promote and run online events, webinars and live sessions targeted at our agency, employer and individual segments
  • Create or edit event materials (slides, social cards, one-pagers) using Canva and our brand templates
  • Set up and manage registration flows on Zoom, Google Forms, Eventbrite or Calendly
  • Own attendee communication — reminder emails, day-of-event nudges, post-event thank-you messages and replay sends
  • Provide technical support during events (polls, Q&A, recording, chat moderation, breakout rooms)
  • Run post-event lead enrichment and pass qualified attendees into the outbound and BD pipelines
  • Cross-functional Support:
  • Partner with Marketing on landing pages, lead magnets and campaign messaging
  • Partner with the BD team on account research, pursuit plans and proposal collateral
  • Surface field-level feedback (objections, pricing pushback, recurring questions) back to product, content and leadership

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in an SDR, BDR, inside-sales, recruiting or outbound marketing role — B2B preferred
  • Native-level written and spoken English. A second international language (French, Portuguese, Arabic, German, Spanish) is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to write personalised outbound copy that actually gets replies — not template-stuffed mail-merge
  • Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn (Sales Navigator preferred), Google Workspace, Notion and Canva
  • Comfort with email marketing / automation tools — Mailchimp, Apollo, Lemlist, Instantly or similar
  • Experience setting up and running webinar / event tech — Zoom, Eventbrite, Calendly, Google Meet
  • Organised, deadline-driven and CRM-disciplined — you keep your own pipeline tidy without being chased
  • High emotional intelligence — you can read a prospect, adjust tone, and know when to push and when to step back
  • Reliable computer and stable broadband, comfortable working remotely with UK / EU core hours
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in migration, mobility, edtech, recruitment, HR-tech or international placement industries
  • Familiarity with the African talent market and global migration corridors
  • Exposure to ABM (account-based marketing) or partner-led growth playbooks
  • Experience contributing to content (LinkedIn posts, short-form video scripts, event speaker briefs)
