What you need to qualify
Every Zero Deposit programme is built around the destination country's employer requirements. The checklist below is the baseline — your matched agency may request one or two extra documents specific to your role or country. Nothing on this list costs money to obtain in your home country, and your matched agency will guide you step-by-step.
Age
21–45 years old
A few partner countries (e.g. Finland seasonal) extend the upper limit to 50 for specific roles. We will flag this during matching.
Education
Secondary school minimum
Most roles only require a secondary school certificate. Skilled roles (nursing, engineering, IT) require the relevant professional qualification.
Work experience
0–2+ years depending on role
Many entry-level placements (hospitality, agriculture, warehouse, care) need no prior experience. Skilled roles need verifiable experience matching the role title.
Language
A2 English (or local) for most roles
Most placements only need conversational English. A handful of skilled roles (healthcare, customer service) require B1/B2 — clearly marked on each programme.
Health
Fit for work
You must be able to pass a standard pre-departure medical (TB, hepatitis B, drug screen). The medical happens AFTER your visa interview, at a designated panel clinic.
Conduct
No serious criminal record
A clean police record (PCC) is required for visa issuance. Minor traffic violations are typically acceptable; serious offences are not.
Documents you'll upload
All uploaded securely. We delete unmatched files after 90 days.
International passport
Valid for at least 18 months from your intended departure date. Bio-data page only — no visa pages required at application stage.
Recent passport photograph
White background, full face, 35×45 mm — the same spec as European visa photos. We accept phone photos as long as the lighting is even.
CV / résumé
One-page PDF or Word. Even basic experience matters — your matched agency will help you reformat for the destination employer.
Proof of financials
Last 3 months of bank statements OR a notarised sponsor letter. Used purely to demonstrate visa-readiness; no minimum balance enforced by Workium.
Proof of address
A recent utility bill, bank statement, tenancy agreement or government letter — dated within the last 3 months — showing your full name and current residential address.

Agency files your visa application. Payment 1 only triggers when the embassy issues an interview slot.
- Day 60–120
Visa issued. Payment 2 triggers. Workium arranges your orientation and travel logistics.

- Payment 2 only after your visa is approved and stamped in your passport.
- 3-day cool-off. You can withdraw within 3 days of signing the candidate agreement, no charge.
- Embassy & medical fees are paid directly to the embassy / panel clinic — never to Workium or the agency.
What will disqualify you
We'd rather tell you up-front than waste your time. You will not be eligible if any of the following apply:
- Outside the age range for your chosen programme (most are 21–45).
- Passport expires in less than 18 months from departure.
- Active visa refusal in the last 12 months for the destination country.
- Serious criminal conviction (felony, drug trafficking, violence).
- Cannot pass a standard pre-departure medical (TB, hep B, drug screen).
- Unable to demonstrate basic English (or destination language) for roles that require it.
